Spring Begins

IN A STATION OF THE METRO

The apparition of these faces in the crowd ;
Petals on a wet, black bough.




The above is a poem by Ezra Pound from 1913. The poem is his impression of the the Concorde Metro Station in Paris. My images below are from my fire-escape on cold spring day in 2011. Ezra's poem was on my mind when I took the photographs. Enjoy.
